Terms of Use

Effective 9 October 2026

Using Mikra

Mikra Notes is for taking notes, recording and reading scripture. Use it lawfully, and only record where you’re allowed to; some churches and events don’t permit recording.

Your content

What you write and record belongs to you. We don’t claim any rights to it and can’t access it.

Bible text

The built-in translations are in the public domain. In the United Kingdom the King James Version is under Crown copyright, so it isn’t built in there. Online translations, such as the NIV, are copyright of their publishers, provided through YouVersion for personal, non-commercial reading, and show their publisher’s notice beneath the text. See the credits below.

Recordings and sermons

Recordings and transcripts are for your personal use. Sermons belong to whoever gave them, so ask before sharing them publicly.

Transcripts

Transcripts are made automatically and can contain mistakes. Check anything important against the recording.

No warranty

Mikra is provided as is. We work to keep it reliable, but we can’t promise it will be free of errors or that your data can never be lost; keep iCloud on for a copy of your notes.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Mikra. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by law.

The App Store

Your use of Mikra is also covered by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple isn’t responsible for Mikra or its support.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections the law where you live gives you.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here and in the app, with its date.
